Ingredients: 1 cup all purpose flour 1 cup rolled oats 1 cup brown sugar 1 tbsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp baking powder 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted 4 cups sliced fresh or frozen fruit (peaches, blueberries, strawberries, cranberries or any combination you like)
Directions:Pre-heat oven to 350F. In a medium mixing bowl blend together first 7 ingredients. Stir in melted butter and combine until mixture is evenly crumbled. (Work it like a pastry) Evenly spread half of the mixture in the bottom of an 8 inch square baking pan. Do not press down. Spoon fruit evenly over bottom crust layer. Scatter remaining mixture evenly over the fruit. Bake 35-40 minutes until lightly browned. Serve warm with ice cream, whipped cream or creme frвiche if desired. Serves 8. |
