Ingredients: 1-1/2 cups NABISCO Graham Cracker Crumbs 2 Tbsp. sugar 1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted 1 box (2-1/8 oz.) BARNUM`S ANIMALS Crackers 1 pkg. (4-serving size) JELL-O Brand Raspberry Flavor Gelatin 1/4 cup sugar 1 cup boiling water 1 cup cold water 2 cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, divided Colored sprinkles (optional) Total time: 4 hr 30 min Directions:1. Mix graham cracker crumbs, 2 tablespoons sugar and butter in medium bowl. Press firmly on bottom and halfway up side of 9-inch pie plate. Place 12 to 14 animal crackers facing out around outside edge of pie plate. Press firmly into crumb mixture. Refrigerate 15 minutes. 2. Mix gelatin and remaining 1/4 cup sugar in medium bowl. Stir in boiling water at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Stir in cold water; set aside 1/2 cup gelatin at room temperature. Pour remaining gelatin into 8-inch square metal pan. Freeze about 1-1/2 hours or until ice crystals form around edge of pan. 3. Beat partially frozen gelatin until foamy. Gently stir in in 1 cup whipped topping; spoon into crust. Freeze 15 minutes. Top with reserved gelatin mixture. 4. Freeze 2 hours or until firm. Garnish pie as desired using remaining whipped topping, animal crackers and sprinkles. Let stand at room temperature 10 minutes before serving. |
