Ingredients: 1/2 cup shortening 1 3/4 cups al purpose flour 1 cup white sugar 1/2 cup baking soda 1 egg 1/2 teaspoon of salt 3/4 cups buttermilk 1/2 cup unsweetenedcocoa powder 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup chopped walnuts
Directions:1. Mix thoroughly sugar, shortening and egg. Stir in buttermilk and vanilla with dry ingredients and stir with nuts. 2. Chill dough for 1 hour. 3. Preheat oven to 200 degrees drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the cookie sheet. 4. Bake 8-10 minutes. Cool. Frost with chocolate or white icing |
