1 tablespoon of butter (margarine)
1/4 cup of flour
1 teaspoon of salt
3/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
3 cups of low fat milk
1/2 teaspoon of pepper
Melt butter-margarine in saucepan over medium heat. Add flour; cook, stirring, 1 minute. Whisk in milk, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Bring to a boil, whisking; reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes. Toss with Parmesan cheese and cooked fettuccine.
