Ingredients: 2 lb. fresh green beans, cut 3 slices bacon, cut up 1 med onion, diced 2 Tbs. flour 4 med potatoes, cubed 4-6 cups water 1 tsp summer savory, dry bouillon cubes for flavor Directions:Render bacon pieces in Dutch oven or big soup pot, add onions when bacon is browned. Cook till onions are glassy, add flour and stir well to combine all. Add washed, rinsed and cut-up green beans, potatoes, and water. Stir well, add bouillon to taste and summer savory. Cook at low heat till beans and potatoes are tender. Serve with fresh Baguette and a salad. |
