Ingredients: Meatballs: 2 pounds ground beef 1 pound ground pork 1 cup bread crumbs 1 cup milk 1 medium egg 1 teaspoon salt 2 medium onions, finely chopped 1/2 cup butter Onion sauce: 3 cups onions, thinly sliced 1 cup butter 6 tablespoons flour 1 teaspoon salt 2 1/2 cups beef broth 1/2 cup milk Directions:1. Soak bread crumbs in milk. Mix all remaiing meatball igrediets except butter. Form into walnut sized meatballs. Brown them well in the butter. Cover simmer 1 hour. 2. Sauce: Saute onions in butter utnil carmelized. Blend in flour and salt. Slowly add milk and beef broth. Stir until it thickens somewhat. Pour over meatballs and server. |
