Ingredients: 4 toasted bread slices 4 cooked ham slices (thick) 4 slice Swiss cheese 1 cup grated cheese (gruyere or mozarella) 1 tbsp butter Pepper, for seasoning 4 tsp butter 4 large eggs Directions:1. Preheat oven to 400 F. Spread butter on half of the bread slices. Place a slice of ham and swiss cheese on top. 2. On the other half of the bread slices, sprinkle grated cheese and top with a dash of ground black pepper. 3. Place all bread slices on a baking tray, then bake in the oven using top heat, until the cheese is bubbly (about 2-3 minutes). 4. Place the bread slice with grated cheese on the ham and cheese toast to make a sandwich. 5. Panfry eggs in butter - sunny side up. Season the egg with salt and pepper, then carefully place on top of the cheese toast as shown in the picture. Arrange on serving plates. |
