Ingredients: 6 ea herring fillets. 3 tb chopped onion. 1/2 c grated apples. 2 ea hard-boiled eggs. 2 ea white bread slices. 1 ts sugar. 2 tb oil.
Directions:Soak herring for 10-12 hours, changing water twice. Soak bread with vinegar in water. Chop herring and eggs finely, add onion, apples and squeezed bread, sugar and oil. Chop finely and stir carefully. Serve on bread or separately. http://www.russianfoods.com |
