Ingredients: 6 oz small shell macaroni 2 cups ham, diced 1 cup celery, chopped 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped 3 hard cooked eggs, chopped 2 Tbsp sweet pickle relish Salt Dill Dressing: 2 Tbsp flour 1/2 tsp dry mustard 1 cup buttermilk 1 tsp dill weed 1 Tbsp sugar 1 Tbsp vinegar 1/2 cup mayonnaise Salt 1 egg yolk, beaten 1-1/2 Tbsp butter Directions:1. Prepare Dill Dressing: Measure flour, sugar, mustard and salt into small saucepan. Mix egg yolk and buttermilk; stir into flour mixture. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in remaining ingredients. 2. Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and rinse with cold water. Mix macaroni and remaining ingredients. Toss with cooled Dill Dressing. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours |
