Anise rolls
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
3 eggs, beaten until frothy
1 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. anise flavoring
anise seed as needed

Directions:
Sift together flour and baking powder. Mix eggs, sugar and anise flavoring. Fold in dry ingredients. Drop by tablespoon onto greased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Sprinkle with anise seed. Bake until brown. Remove quickly from sheet and roll while hot. Sprinkle with icing sugar before serving. These will be thin and about the circumference of pancakes when they come out of the oven.
