Mariannes aeblekage (marianne`s apple cake)
Ingredients:
4 oz (125 g) butter
1 cup (200 g) sugar
2 eggs
1 2/3 cups (200 g) flour
1 1/2 teaspoon (7.5 ml) baking powder
3/8 cup (1 dl) milk
2-3 apples, peeled, thinly sliced
cinnamon and sugar

Directions:
Melt the butter and stir in the sugar. Add the eggs one at a time. Mix the flour and baking powder. Add the flour mixture and milk to the first three ingredients. Stir until everything is blended well. Grease a cake-pan (9-10 inch (24 cm) diameter) and sprinkle it lightly with flour. Pour half the batter into the cake-pan. Arrange a layer of apple slices and pour the remaining batter on top. Finally, dip the remaining apple slices in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar and arrange neatly on top. Bake the cake on the bottom rack of the oven at 356 F (180 C) for about 45 minutes.
