Mint cup (minzsaft)
Ingredients:
2 c tender mint leaves, cut fine
2 c sugar
2 c water just a dash of salt
2 qts ginger ale

Directions:
Make a simple syrup by boiling the sugar and water 3 minutes. Add salt. Pour boiling syrup over the leaves. Let stand until cool. Strain. Then add ginger ale. You will find the salt will help draw out the mint flavor from the leaves. Serve very cold. A sprig of mint helps pretty up this good drink.
