| Ingredients: 1 cup sugar
2-1/2 tbl. unflavored gelatin
3 egg yolks
3 cups milk
5oz. strawberry cordial
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 egg whites
1/4 cup sugar
2-1/2 cups heavy cream
1/4 cup sugar
Directions:1. In top of double boiler, mix sugar and gelatin. Beat together until well
blended egg yolks and milk and stir into gelatin mixture. Cook and stir over boiling water until gelatin is dissolved, about 5 min. Remove from heat and stir in strawberry cordial and vanilla. Chill until mixture mounds when dropped a spoon.
2. Beat egg whites until frothy. Gradually add second portion of sugar and beat until stiff peaks form. Whip chilled cream with balance of sugar until soft peaks form. Fold in the chilled mixture and turn into a 2-qt heart-shaped mold. Cover with aluminum foil and freeze.
3. About one hour before serving, unmold onto a chilled serving plate. For easier removal, cover bottom of mold with paper. Garnish with a piping of whipped cream and strawberries.
