Ingredients: 1 package cake mix -- Devil's Food is best although you can use other flavors (not the Jiffy size -- use Betty Crocker, Duncan Hines, etc.) 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1 stick margarine, melted Any chips or nuts you want to add -- you don't need too many (chocolate chips & peanut butter chips are great, but experiment with anything that you like)
Directions:Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Be sure to combine the dry ingredients thoroughly. The mixture will be a little stiff but fairly easy to work with. Take a heaping teaspoon full of the mixture (or use a small cookie scoop) and form a ball. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes (test it after 10 minutes) in a 350 degree oven. The cookies will probably take around 12 minutes, depending on your oven. Leave the cookies on the baking sheets for a few minutes to allow them to firm up before putting them onto cooling racks. You should be able to get about 2 1/2 dozen cookies per recipe. HINT: Yellow cake mix may leave you with a funny taste. Devil's Food is usually the best kind of cake mix to use |
