Ingredients: 1 pint fresh blue berries 1 pint fresh strawberries 1/2 cup sugar, or more to taste 1-2 tablespoons kirsch or malaga wine 1/2 large pineapple fresh mint for garnish(optional) fresh whole blue berries or strawberry slices for garnish (optional) Directions:Puree the berries along with their juices . If usuing processor or blender, strain the sauce to remove the seeds, if you would rather it not be there. Stir the sugar and kirsch into the puree. This sauce will keep 2-3 days . It can be frozen up to 3 months. Cut the pineapple into very thin slices. Spoon some of the sauce onto each of 4 dessert plates. Over lap pineapple slices on each plate. Garnish with sprigs of fresh mint, or with the reserved berries if desired. and serve |
