Ingredients: Cake: 1 large can fruit pie filling 2 eggs 3 cups flour 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 a pound of margarine 1 teaspoon baking soda 8 ounces sour cream 1 cup sugar Topping: 1/4 cup flour 2 tablespoon melted margarine 1/2 cup sugar
Directions:To make cake: Sift dry ingredients into bowl. Cut in margarine. Add beaten eggs, sour cream and vanilla. Beat well -- dough will be very thick. Spread half of batter evenly into buttered 13x9-inch pan. Spoon pie filling evenly over top. Spread remaining dough over filling, spreading as evenly as possible. Mix topping ingredients thoroughly. This will be crumbly. Sprinkle topping over batter and bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes. |
