Ingredients: 1-1/2 lb. fresh turnip greens 1-1/2 lb. fresh mustard greens 1 medium onion, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 tsp. vegetable oil 2 cups water 1/4 lb. (4 oz.) LOUIS RICH Turkey Smoked Sausage, halved lengthwise, thinly sliced 1 tsp. sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper Total time: 1 hr 20 min Directions:1. Wash greens, removing all grit. Remove hard stems. Place greens together in small bunches; roll up. Cut crosswise into wide strips. 2. Cook and stir onion and garlic in oil in large skillet until tender. 3. Add greens, water, turkey sausage, sugar, salt and red pepper to skillet. Simmer on low heat 45 minutes to 1 hour or until greens are soft and tender. |
