Ingredients: 1 ea bread roll 1/4 lb ham, minced 2 T milk salt 1 1/2 oz margarine 1 pn nutmeg 1 T onion, diced 1 ea egg 1 T parsley breadcrumbs, dry Directions:1. Cut the roll into cubes and moisten with milk. Combine onion, parsley and butter in pan - fry until onion is tender. Remove from heat, add moistened roll. 2. Add ham (or use bacon or boiled smoked meat), nutmeg and egg to mixture in pan. Work into a dough, thickening with breadcrumbs as needed. 3. Form the dough into small dumplings and boil in soup for about 8 minutes. |
