Ingredients: 12 mackerel ("saba"), about 30 g each Sauce: 3 tablespoons soy sauce ("shoyu") 1 tablespoon "sake" (Japanese rice wine) 1 teaspoon ginger ("shoga") juice all-purpose flour salad oil Directions:1. Marinate mackerel in sauce for 15 to 20 minutes. 2. Drain on paper towel and dust with all-purpose flour. 3. Preheat high-speed gas oven to about 460F (230C). Arrange fish on lightly greased oven plate, pour oil over and cook in oven about 10 minutes. Alternatively, fish can be deep-fried. Garnish with citrus fruit if desired. |
