Ingredients: 4 pounds green beans 1/2 pound bacon, cut fine 1 onion, finely chopped 1 cup olive oil 1 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon sugar 1/2 teaspoon white pepper 1 cup white vinegar 2 tablespoons hot water Directions:1. Cook and drain the beans. 2. Fry the cut bacon until crisp and put in a bowl. Add the onion and oil and mix lightly. Add salt, sugar and pepper and toss lightly. Add vinegar and water. 3. Fold in the cooked beans until well coated. Chill in refrigerator for 1 hour before serving. |
