Ingredients: 8 slices vegetarian Canadian bacon or vegetarian bacon 8 slices whole-grain bread 12 ounces (360 g) fat-free soy cheese, sliced 8 tomato slices cooking spray
Directions:1. If using vegetarian bacon, cook according to package directions. 2. Place 4 bread slices on a work surface. Top with half the soy cheese, followed by the bacon and tomato. Top with the remaining soy cheese and bread slices. 3. The sandwiches may be grilled a couple of ways: Spray a griddle once with cooking spray and brown sandwiches over medium heat for 2 minutes on each side, or until cheese is melted. Or, toast sandwiches in a sandwich iron for about 3 minutes. |
