Ingredients:16 large pasta shells, precooked al`dente 4 T olive oil 1/4 cup onion, chopped 1 rib celery, chopped 1 red pepper, chopped 6 cloves caramelized garlic 1 green onion, chopped 1/2 cup chopped clams 1 cup clam juice 2 t each, thyme, powdered garlic, paprika 1/4 cup bread crumbs (approximately) 1 t hot pepper flakes 1 T each bread crumbs and parmesan cheese mixed Directions:Preheat grill to a medium temperature or oven to 350 degrees. Grease a non stick oven proof pan. Heat saute pan to medium temperature. Add 2 tablespoons olive oil, onions, celery, red pepper, garlic and green onion. Cook until vegetables soften then add clams, thyme, powdered garlic, thyme, paprika, and hot pepper flakes. Heat one minute then add enough bread crumbs to bind mixture. Do not add too much bread crumbs to keep clam mixture moist for baking. Remove from pan and cool. Stuff all the precooked pasta shells and place in greased pan. Top with 2 tablespoons olive oil, and the remaining bread crumbs and parmesan cheese. Bake 15-20 minutes or until clam pasta shells are hot and crusty. |
