Ingredients: 4 cups chicken broth 4 tablespoons butter or margarine 1 clove garlic, finely chopped 3/4 cup brown rice 3/4 cup barley 1 (4-oz.) can ORTEGAR Diced Green Chiles 1/3 cup pine nuts, toasted 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
Directions:Combine chicken broth, butter and garlic in medium saucepan; bring to a boil. Add rice and barley; reduce heat to low. Cook for 40 to 45 minutes or until tender. Add chiles, pine nuts and cilantro. Let stand, covered, for 5 minutes. Add salt and black ground pepper to taste. |
