340 g (12 oz) canned tuna in brine, drained and flaked
1 small green apple, peeled, cored and minced
2 egg whites
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
50 g (1 3/4 oz) dried breadcrumbs
low fat cooking spray
Roll and Toppings:
4 medium burger buns
4 teaspoons Dijon mustard
4 large spinach leaves, washed and dried
Time: 10 min
1. Mix the burger ingredients together. Allow to stand for 3-5 minutes.
2. Spray a frying pan with the cooking spray and heat over a low-medium heat.
3. Form the tuna mixture into 4 patties. Cook until crispy on one side then flip and cook until crispy on the other side.
4. Serve on buns with spinach and Dijon mustard.
