Ingredients: 1/2 cup Karo corn syrup 1/2 cup butter 5 squares semi-sweet chocolate 3/4 cup sugar 3 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 cup flour 1 cup chopped nuts Glaze: 3 squares semi-sweet chocolate 1 tablespoon butter 2 tablespoons corn syrup 1 teaspoon milk Directions:Grease and flour a 9" cake pan. In a large saucepan bring corn syrup and butter to a boil, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Add chocolate. Stir until melted. Add sugar. Stir in eggs, one at a time. Stir in vanilla, flour, and nuts. Pour into pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely. Prepare glaze: Melt chocolate and butter on low heat. Remove from heat. Add two tablespoons corn syrup and milk. Pour warm glaze on top. Let glaze set. Garnish with whipped cream and raspberries if desired. |
