2 tablespoons of margarine
1 1/2 cups of evaporated skimmed milk
1 tablespoon of flour
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/8 teaspoon of pepper
2 tablespoons of freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon of freshly grated nutmeg
Melt the margarine in a 3 quart saucepan over medium high heat. Mix the milk, flour, salt, and pepper until smooth, pour into saucepan. Heat to boiling. Boil for 1 minute, stirring frequently with wire whisk, remove from heat. Stir in the cheese and nutmeg.
