Ingredients: 2 cups self raising flour 1/2 tsp salt 1 1/2 cups milk 1 tsp sugar 1 tsp butter Directions:1. Sift the flour, sugar and salt into a bowl and then add the butter, add enough milk to make a managable dough. 2. Shape into a flat ball and place on a greased and floured oven tray, bake at 220 C (400 F) for 25-30 mins, baste with milk during cooking. 3. Serve hot with lashings of butter (golden syrup, jam goes very well with this bread). |
