Ingredients: 1/2 - 3/4 kg unsmoked bacon 1/2 kg apples 2 - 3 Tbsp sugar
Directions:1. Cut the bacon in approximately 1/2 cm thick slices and fry until light golden brown on both sides. Season with salt as soon as the bacon turns hot. Poor fat into heat proof dish as it is generated. To cut down fat it is possible to fry the bacon in the oven at 200 C for one hour. Remove the bacon from the heat and keep warm. 2. Clean the apples and cut into four and remove core. Divide the apples further into thin wedges and fry in some of the bacon fat until tender. Sprinkle with a little sugar. 3. Put the bacon on top of the apples and serve with Danish Rye bread. |
