Ingredients: 1 large cup of dry white beans 200 g of your favorite smoked sausage, cut into rings 3 carotts, thin rings 2 parsley roots, thin rings 1 medium size green pepper, whole 1 medium size tomato, whole 1 medium size onion, whole 3 cloves of garlic, whole 1.1/2 Tbs. of vegetable powder or 1 cube of chicken soup base 1/2 bunch of parsley tied together with a thread 1 Tbs. of chopped parsley 2 potatoes, cut small cubes 1/4 tsp. grated black pepper 1/4 tsp. majoram leaves 4-5 coriander seeds 3 Tbs. flour 1 pinch of sweet basil 1 tsp. of paprika 1 flat Tbs. of ketchup 1 Tbs. salt 7 Tbs. of oil Directions:1. Put the cleaned beans in a larger pot in 2 liters of cold water. Add the salt, black pepper, majoram, sweet basil, coriander seeds, ketchup, vegetable powder, the whole green pepper, whole tomato, whole onion, parsley bunch and the garlic cloves. 2. Cover it and cook it on low heat until the beans are close to tender. Then add the smoked sasuage rings, the carott rings, the parsley root rings, and the potato cubes into the soup. Cook it till everything is tender. 3. After the cooking time is off, take the green pepper, tomato, onion, garlic cloves, and the parsley bunch out from the soup and throw them away. Add the oil and the flour in a small frying pan and make a light brown thickener. Remove from the heat and mix in the paprika. Add 2 cups of cold water and mix it, then pour the thickener into the soup. Taste it to see if more salt is needed. When the soup is boiling add 1/2 cup of home made grated noodles into the soup. Cook the soup with the fresh noodles for 2 minutes. Add the chopped parsley into the soup and turn the heat off. You can add a few hot banana pepper rings if you like it hot. |
