Ingredients: 750 ml apple cider, white wine or light grape juice 1/2 apple 2 tbsp soft brown sugar (firmly packed) 1 stick cinnamon 3-5 cloves 1/4 tsp mace 3 whole allspice berries (Calvados or vodka) Directions:1. Peel, core and slice the apple thinly. Pour cider in a saucepan and heat it up. Don`t let it boil. Add sugar, spices and apple slices. Let stand for 10 minutes on low heat without boiling. Spike up the glцgg with a dash of Calvados or vodka if you like. 2. Strain hot glogg in serving mugs or tea-glasses with a spoon in them. Garnish with a couple of apple slices or omit the apple and put some golden raisins and blanched almonds or pine nuts in the glasses instead. Serve immediately |
