Ingredients: 8 tbsp softened butter 1/4 cup minced mushrooms 2 tbsp finely diced shallots 2 tsp green peppercorns, slightly crushed 1 clove garlic, minced 1 cup Cabernet Sauvignon wine or dry red wine Salt and freshly ground black pepper 4 rib eye steaks Directions:Melt 1 tbsp of the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add mushrooms,shallots, peppercorns, garlic and wine and simmer until almost all of the liquid has evaporated. Let cool, using a wire whisk, mix in remaining butter Season with salt and pepper to taste. Grill steaks on BBQ to desired doneness, serve a dollop of butter on each. |
