Ingredients: 1-1/2 lbs. ground beef 1 to 2 Tbs. minced garlic 1 tsp. each ground black pepper, paprika salt to taste optional spices: allspice cloves, cumin, coriander optional herbs: parsley, oregano, thyme
Directions:Mix ground beef with rest of the ingredients, kneading with your hands for several minutes. Form the meat into sausage-like shapes, about 3-1/2 inches long and 1 inch thick. Keep hands wet so that sausages will remain smooth surfaced. Refrigerate several hours or even up to a day so that flavors will penetrate into the meat. Broil under a hot broiler or over a hot grill, being careful to turn with flat tongs - not a fork - so juices do not run out. |
