Italian Cuisine
Creamy italian-style rice
Ingredients:
1 Tbsp. margarine or butter
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 tsp. dried Italian seasoning
3-1/3 cups water
1-1/2 cups uncooked regular or converted rice
1 package (10 oz.) frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
1 jar (16 oz.) RaguR Cheese Creations!R Four Cheese Sauce
Total time: 40 min

Directions:
1. In 2-1/2-quart saucepan, melt margarine over medium-high heat and cook onion and Italian seasoning, stirring occasionally, 2 minutes or until onion is tender. Stir in water and bring to a boil over high heat. Stir in rice. Reduce heat to low and simmer covered 15 minutes.
2. Stir in mixed vegetables and sauce and cook 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand covered, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
3. Season, if desired, with salt and ground black pepper and garnish with grated Parmesan cheese.
