Directions:1. In 2-1/2-quart saucepan, melt margarine over medium-high heat and cook onion and Italian seasoning, stirring occasionally, 2 minutes or until onion is tender. Stir in water and bring to a boil over high heat. Stir in rice. Reduce heat to low and simmer covered 15 minutes. 2. Stir in mixed vegetables and sauce and cook 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand covered, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. 3. Season, if desired, with salt and ground black pepper and garnish with grated Parmesan cheese. |
