1/3 pound boneless top blade steak
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon anise seed
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon grated gingerroot
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 1/2 cups cooled cooked rice
2 tablespoons peanuts
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1.Cut steak into 1/2-inch cubes; refrigerate.
2.Meanwhile combine sugar, anise seed, cinnamon, cloves, gingerroot and red pepper flakes; mix well. Add beef cubes; stir to coat with spice mixture.
3.Heat sesame oil in a medium skillet over medium heat; add garlic and cook briefly. Add beef to skillet, cooking until lightly browned
4.Add rice, peanuts and soy sauce; stir-fry until thoroughly heated.
