Ingredients: 1 2/3 cups unsifted all-purpose flour 4 eggs 1 cup white wine or apple juice 1 cup milk salt approx. 2 - 2 1/4 lbs apples Oil to fry the Kiachl Cinnamon-Sugar Directions:Combine flour, eggs, wine, milk and a dash of salt to a batter. Core the apple with an apple corer and slice them into 2/5 inch thick slices. Dip into the batter and immediatly lay into the hot oil (approx. 360 F). Make sure the Kiachl (fritters) don`t touch the bottom of the dutch oven or pot for they need to "swim". Turn once. Remove from oil. Place on paper towels to absorb excess fat and sprinkle with a cinnamon-sugar-mixture. |
